United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit

Betts v. Rector and Visitors of University of Virginia, 113 F. Supp. 2d 970 (W.D. Va., 2000) When Robert Betts was removed from the University of Virginia School of Medicine because his learning disability prevented him from successfully meeting certain academic goals, Brock Green embarked on a eight year litigation odyssey to try to show the Americans with Disabilities Act protected his client's educational opportunities. This case established some novel issues under the ADA, including issues addressed in unpublished opinions by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
